Ten Weight Loss Tips, Easy!

* Stop All Soft Drinks

Did you know that each soft drink contains 150 calories that are completely empty and useless to the body? Just substituting one pop per day with a glass of water will amount to a loss of 16 pounds per year. Not that hard either!

* Keep Yourself Busy

When there is nothing to do, we reach for the food out of boredom. Staying busy with other activities will help to keep your mind off food.

* Rid Your House of Tempting Foods

There are those foods that we just cannot resist. So, make a list of those "trap" foods and keep them out of your house. If they are out of sight they will not be available when you get cravings.

* Be Aware of Your Portions

The amount you eat is as impacting as the foods you eat. On average, if you eat 10% less, you will lose 20 lbs a year without changing the actual foods you eat.

* Exercise Calories

You have to do the whole hour of aerobics to burn off the 500 calories contained in a big piece of cheesecake. What is easier for you: exercising for 1 hour or not eating the cheesecake?

* Stop for a Breather

Pause next time you are thinking of eating something you should not. Ask yourself if it is worth it. If it is, indulge and enjoy. However, if it is not worth it, you will then have more control to say no.

* Slow your eating

Did you know it takes 20 minutes for the brain to establish a sense of fullness. Therefore, if you eat too fast, you will eat a lot more calories than your body really needs to feel full.

* Don't Skip Meals

Skipping meals always ends in a splurging at the next meal. When you feel that hungry from skipping meals, it is easy to lose control which affects not only of the portion size, but what you eat.

* Plan Your Meals

Planning your meals in advance gives you more control. Trying to find something to eat at the last minute will make it harder to resist tempting, unhealthy foods.

* Do Everyday Physical Activities

Do not overwhelm yourself with an outrageous workout plan. Just use the stairs when available or do not worry about getting a good parking spot. Take advantage of walking when you can. Just 15 minutes daily of walking results in a 10 lb weight loss in only one year!
